SUMMARY
Andrena clarkella is a uncommon solitary bee, often favouring sandy places such as heathland. They are one of the first species to appear in the Spring, flying from April onwards and is a specialist collector of willow (Salix species) pollen. It has only been recorded at one site on South Uist, but as it was not recorded until 2015, it is possible that it has been overlooked.
