Bombus jonellus (Heath Bumblebee)
General description:
One of the smaller species found mainly in moorland areas.
Diagnostic description:
In the Outer Hebrides the heath bumblebee has a buff rather than white tail which makes it easier to distinguish from B. hortorum. It is also one of the smaller bumblebees.
