SUMMARY
Northern bottlenose whales are deep-water species found in the North Atlantic Ocean, and have been observed in small numbers off the Northern Western coasts of Scotland. There are three records of strandings on the NW coast of Isle of Lewis in 2000 and 2007 and a more recent live observation.
