Pieridae (Butterflies)  

Only four species have been recorded: the large and green-veined white butterflies are common, the status of the small white is uncertain and orange-tips have only been recorded on two occasions. The clouded yellow is a migrant species from southern Europe and rarely seen in the Outer Hebrides.
